For some, co-sleeping is a choice. Others, a last-ditch attempt at pretending that old adage “sleep when the baby sleeps” isn’t just a bunch of malarkey. But at one point or another, we’ve all been there.
You’ve slept maybe 8 hours in three days. You’re exhausted, desperate, and you smell pretty bad if we’re being honest here. You’ve done the bath, the fresh diaper, the comfy PJs, and the soothing sounds. The kid is fed, burped, and ready to go the f*ck to sleep. Except, she’s not. But you? You are SO ready.
What happens next feels like a lifetime to you but is perfectly encapsulated in a 1-minute video by Esther Anderson in her YouTube video, “Why Co-Sleeping is No-Sleeping.”
So take a minute (literally) to watch, enjoy, and dream about the days in the distant future when you can sleep through the night without a tiny fist to the face.
