1. Monsters, Inc. Washcloth Set
I had a three washcloth rule for bath time with my newborns. It never failed that my little guy would tinkle when I put him in warm water, so I always dipped one in the warm water, and immediately put it over his lower body so he wouldn’t spray the bathroom! Then another wet washcloth went on his tummy and one on his head, to keep him warm. This adorable multi-colored set will ensure that your baby is comfortable.
2. Finding Nemo Infant-to-Toddler Tub
A bathtub for newborns is a must-have. Confession: as a new mom I was actually terrified to bathe him. That’s why I loved this tub. It comes with a sling for when baby is really small that can later be remove when they’re a little older. There are also two different sides — one makes it possible to lay baby partially back and the other allows you to sit them up straight, once they can hold their own head up.
3. Minnie Mouse Bottle Set
You will want bottles that have an anti-colic system. These NUK ones feature nipples with a hole that allows any air bubbles to leave, so the milk or formula won’t give them gas. Bonus? The lids prevent spillage — even when upside down. And with designs as adorable as these, how can you resist?
4. Winnie the Pooh All-in-One Swing
A swing is the perfect spot to place your newborn when you need to get some chores done, or take a moment to relax. The soothing motion of this swing keeps baby from getting fussy and as they grow, they’re sure to become enamored with the hanging toys above their head. I know the flouncy pouncy Tigger would keep my baby’s attention for quite a while!
5. Mickey Mouse Pacifier
You will want to have a lot of pacifiers. I mean A LOT. They helped me keep my sanity by: soothing my boys to sleep, occupying them in the carseat, and calming them down after those dreaded shots at the doc. However, these things disappear like candy in a kindergarten class. So stock up! I prefer this pacifier since the shape is helpful for the development of baby’s teeth; plus, they have different sizes for your little one’s age.
6. Minnie Mouse Travel System
Newborns love to snooze, so the likelihood that your baby will be sleeping while you’re out and about running errands is great. The ability to unlatch their carseat from the car and click it right into the stroller is super helpful! And having a lightweight travel system that easily folds is even better.
7. Winnie the Pooh Tummy Time Mat
Tummy time is very important for the development of baby’s neck muscles. You will want a soft, fun place for baby to do this, and the Winnie the Pooh mat fits the bill! It’s thick and cushy, brightly colored to keep baby’s attention, and can be used as a playmate for park days as baby gets older. Pooh’s head is also great as a cozy pillow!
8. Minnie Mouse 5-in-1 Diaper Bag
You’ll want a diaper bag that has plenty of pockets but isn’t so big that it will give you shoulder problems. Enter the 5-in-1 bag! It has pockets galore, a bottle tote, pacifier pouch for those multiple pacis, changing pad, and a wipes case. Brilliant!
9. 101 Dalmatians Teeter
Toys with multiple features are key. This teeter has movement to keep they’re attention, it’s hard so they can chew on them when teething, and it’s small enough for them to grab but big enough to not be a choking hazard. And it’s cute, too!
10. Bambi Swaddling Blanket Set
Swaddling blankets are one of my favorite things, because of all their purposes. They’re a perfect lightweight blanket to put over the top of the carseat or stroller and are breathable so baby won’t overheat. Plus, they are great to use as a breastfeeding cover. And don’t forget to actually swaddle baby when he sleeps. This helps your little one to feel like he is still in the womb and keeps him from flinching and waking himself up.
Well, there you go! I hope this list helps to calm your nerves a bit and give you some peace of mind about those first weeks and months at home with your new bundle of joy!
