One of the major perks of becoming a parent is reliving the best parts of our own childhoods through our kids, right? Introducing them to their first Barbie, taking them to Disney World, dancing in the kitchen to Duran Duran … it’s those special moments we share that are all sorts of nostalgic goodness. So that’s probably why we love this video from YouTube member Sam B of 3-year-old James watching Star Wars: A New Hope for the very first time.
From James’ face, filled with a mix of excitement and confusion as he asks, “What’s this, Daddy?” to him shushing his dad as the opening credits begin, to the dance he does while yelling, “I like it!” before anything actually happens … we could watch James watch Star Wars all day long. I mean, it is a truth universally acknowledged that a small British child with glasses is just exponentially more adorable than most other children. Call it the Harry Potter effect but whatever it is, we want more James.
Watch the video above to see what we mean. If you need us, we’ll be clearing our schedules this weekend for a Star Wars marathon.
